Human Sovereignty In 2026
Reclaiming individual power
The first four months of the year are not over, and yet we find ourselves facing a uniquely confusing era in world history- one of many in the last few years. The collective struggle and advancements we have made as a society have connected us more than ever, and also polarised us at the same time.
Individual sovereignty needs to be reclaimed.
It’s less about proclaiming who you are as a person and more about being that person every day; an inner knowing that makes living in the chaos of this world a little still.
It’s about making intentional decisions regularly, rather than running on autopilot. These decisions become evident in the small things that happen daily. For instance, how much you let AI write your communication for you versus practicing your critical thinking skills. How much fast fashion versus sustainable clothing would you choose to wear? Or deciding what your non-negotiables are and not letting others project their beliefs onto you.
This is the time to question everything - what you consume, watch, follow, and support - from companies to founders, politicians to CEOs.
We have more power than we think we do.

There is a lot we can’t do individually, but we can definitely stop oligarchs and algorithms from taking over our minds. There is a happy middle ground and balance to be achieved, but it starts with questioning ourselves regularly, before these decisions are made for us.
5 key questions to start
What do you want more of and less of?
Does your routine, spending habits, and mental space support that version of you?
What kind of companies, brands, and founders do you want to support?
What are your personal values, ethics, and code of conduct?
Who gets access to your energy and who doesn’t?
This mindset transfers to work.
As leaders, team members, and entrepreneurs, the kind of culture we encourage translates to the companies we build.
Resilience, curiosity, and independent thinking are the need of the hour, less as buzzwords and more as sovereignty in practice. It’s easier to get your team to work towards a common goal when they feel like they are being heard. When strategy is owned and cultivated, it transforms into a shared purpose.
Being human in all its glory is an imperfect grey area, and the difference between value systems is becoming starkly obvious. Who you want to be in this changing world is worth thinking about.
